Why Didn't My House Sell?

If your house was previously on the market and didn't sell you know the frustration of showings, lack of showings, low ball offers, no offers and missed opportunities for realizing your goals. The following are some of the reasons that homes fail to sell.
Price
The most common reason homes fail to sell is price. This is NOT the time to test the market. If you are serious about selling your home it needs to be realistically and competitively priced for The Neighborhood. If you need to sell for personal or financial reasons and owe more than the current market value your Realtor® can assist you with a short sale.
Condition
Honestly evaluate the condition of your home outside and in. Curb appeal goes a long way to getting buyers motivated to look at your home. A clean and well maintained older home will receive more interest from buyers than a newer cluttered home in the same price range.
Competition
Was your home the only one for sale in The Neighborhood? If not, what was your competition? Did those homes sell? To realize your goal of selling your home you must go back to price and condition and honestly evaluate why your home didn't sell.
